Below are the main ingredients easily available at home, are used to make few of the recipes which can be consumed to reduce the cold and cough
- Warm honey lemon water with turmeric:
Take a tall glass, put honey, lemon juice, turmeric powder and a cup of warm water mix it well and drink.
- Golden Milk:
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch black pepper (optional)
- 1 tsp honey
Combine all the ingredients in a pot. Next, bring the mixture to the boil, then reduce to a simmer. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes or until it is fragrant.To serve, strain the mixture through a fine strainer to remove the spices. Golden milk will keep in the refrigerator for around 5 days.

- A few slices of raw ginger root in boiling water may help soothe cough and cold
- Lemon Tea:
- Drinking honey in tea with lemon can ease sore throat pain.
- Cinnamon Tea:
- Another effective home remedy for common cold and cough is a mixture of lemon, cinnamon, and honey. This syrup effectively cures cold and cough.
