Grand Finale of Shri Vinayaka Sharannarathri at Shri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple
- Oct 27th, 2024
The vibrant celebrations of Sharan Navaratri at Shri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple concluded with great fervor and devotion on the 11th and 12th of October, marking the final two days as the pinnacle of this spiritual festival. For ten days, the temple was adorned with special Alankaras during the evening Pooja, and Maha Ganapathi was offered a unique Abhishekas, heightening the devotional ambiance.
On 11th October, Bhasmabhisheka, a rare and sacred ritual, was performed for Lord Ganesha. This annual seva is a profound offering, reserved only for the auspicious Navami of Ashwayuja Navaratri, symbolizing purity and the destruction of negativity through the divine ashes.
The culmination of the festival took place on 12th October with the grand Bali Utsava and Ranga Pooje, two significant rituals conducted once a year. During these ceremonies, the idol of Digvijay Maha Ganapathi was beautifully adorned with flowers and silver ornaments and taken in a procession around the temple, accompanied by devotees chanting praises. As part of the Ranga Pooje, 21 plates of naivedya were offered to the deity, reflecting the depth of devotion and gratitude towards Lord Ganesha.
These sacred rituals, rich in tradition, left the devotees filled with blessings of health, prosperity, and peace. The temple echoed with prayers, as devotees sought the grace of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Parvati to shower their divine blessings on all.
