Bingipura Lake Overview

- The lake is located in Bettadasanapura, S Bingipura and was last year restored ecologically by Allergan and Green Yatra Trust ( initiative from Anand Mallikawad ).The lake can hold 4.5 to 4.75 lakh cubic metres of water. After its rejuvenation, it has recharged about 200 to 300 bore wells within a radius of 4 to 5 km around the lake.
- Continuous improvements on pathway improvements( concrete pathways) , fencing, inlet, development works, strengthening of wetland, trash barriers, main bund seepage rectification, upkeep and monitor diversion drain by the government would be needed.
