Every year, this amazing community keeps breaking records in enthusiasm, spirit, and togetherness, and 2025 proved to be bigger, brighter, and more joyful than ever before — with energy flowing from toddlers to young-at-heart adults 🎉🌿.
The real showstopper this year was the stunningly intricate Pookalam, a vibrant floral masterpiece that became the pride of the entire celebration. Far from a simple design, this Pookalam was one of the most complex ever attempted. It required meticulous planning, sleepless nights, back-breaking designing, and tireless flower purchasing missions. Men, women, and kids worked hand-in-hand — carefully arranging thousands of fresh petals in perfect symmetry, crafting every curve and color gradient to bring the design to life 🌸✨. The result? A breathtaking work of art, radiating creativity, effort, and unmatched community spirit.
The fun didn’t stop there! From traditional tug of war (Vadamveli) that had everyone pulling with all their might, to the ridiculously hilarious Idli-Chutney-Sambar jump game, where participants jumped in and out of marked circles like pros (or not-so-pros) 🥘😂, the atmosphere was bursting with laughter. The blindfolded “Sundari ku aar potu thodum” game turned into a slapstick comedy show of funny guesses and surprise bumps, while the hands-tied jump to grab snacks was pure festive mischief 🍪🎯.
Cultural performances added extra charm to the day. Graceful Thiruvathira Kali dances reflected Kerala’s timeless tradition, while energetic cinematic group dances and soulful individual singing performances made the crowd cheer and groove 🎶🌟. A special shoutout to the adorable kids — from toddlers to above — who performed confidently and gleefully, without the slightest shyness, winning hearts and round after round of applause 🎤❤️.
And of course, the grand highlight — the Onam Sadya. Imagine a feast of over 20 authentic Kerala dishes served on banana leaves 🍌, including steaming rice, Parippu Curry, Avial, Thoran, Olan, Kaalan, Pachadi, Kichadi, Pulissery, Erissery, Sambar, Rasam, Pickles, Pappadam, and crunchy banana chips. The traditional Payasam and other Kerala sweets capped off the feast, leaving everyone smiling, full, and blissfully satisfied 🍮😋.
