Ingredients
- 4 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 kg fresh green beans, trimmed

- Make the sauce: Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, salt, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Blanch: Boil water in a large saucepan. Add beans in batches and cook uncovered for 2–3 minutes.
- Ice bath: Transfer immediately to ice water. Drain and pat dry.
- Blister: Coat a stockpot with cooking spray. Stir-fry beans on high heat until lightly blistered (2–3 minutes).
- Toss: Add sauce; stir until coated and sauce evaporates slightly (2–3 minutes).
- Serve: Remove from heat and serve hot.
Recipe Variations
- Top with almonds: Add thinly sliced almonds for extra crunch.
- Add onion: Add sliced white onion when you first add the beans—honey sauce tastes divine on both.
