Raga Chikitsa
Raga Chikitsa is the ancient Indian science and art of healing through the vibrations and moods of Indian classical ragas. It uses the melodic structures of ragas to harmonise the body, mind, and spirit.
Origins
The earliest origin of Raga Chikitsa can be traced to the Samaveda, the Veda of melodies. Sacred hymns in the Vedas were sung rather than spoken because sound vibrations were believed to heal the listener by restoring balance between the five elements (Pancha Bhuta) and the three doṣas found in the body.
