Electronic City commuters may soon experience smoother and faster travel with the opening of a 1.5-km four-lane link road connecting Deepanjalinagar to the NICE Expressway. The project, reported by multiple city media outlets including The Times of India and Bangalore Mirror, is in its final stages and expected to open shortly.

The new corridor will provide a signal-free route to the expressway, significantly reducing congestion on approach roads near Nayandahalli and Mysore Road. For thousands travelling daily towards Electronic City, the stretch could cut commute time by 20–30 minutes, especially during peak hours.

With Bengaluru’s rising vehicle density, such infrastructure upgrades are crucial to easing bottlenecks and redistributing traffic flow more efficiently. The link is also expected to benefit commuters heading to Peenya and the Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway.

Urban planners suggest that improved connectivity will not only enhance daily travel but also boost residential and commercial real-estate demand in surrounding neighbourhoods.
