A woman's womb is the most magnificent creation that creates one more life in her. A woman becomes a mother. She is crowned with the responsibility of giving birth to a mentally and physically healthy life. But is she the sole bearer of this responsibility?. No
As society is transitioning, a woman's lifestyle is also changing. She is stepping into many domains. Of which, some were her choices and some were forced on her. The expectations from her are not changing. Rather, they are increasing. Her stress is increasing.
Will it be possible for her to give birth to a healthy child in the absence of an environment that is stress-free, happy, and full of respect? No.
How will her mind and body support another life when she herself is struggling?
As a practicing Therapist, I see women literally gasping for a stress-free environment to become mothers.
Child birth is not the end. It's the beginning of motherhood and parenthood. Apparently, in every Indian household, a mother is the primary disciplining parent and caretaker. A stressed-out mother will not have patience for a proper upbringing. As a result, a psychologically unhealthy child is raised. And…this cycle never ends.
As a society, let us promise to give a woman and a mother the support, love, and care she needs to birth and raise a healthy and happy future, which lies in our children.
