Bengaluru residents can expect significant improvements in public transport over the next 18 months, as Karnataka Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda reviewed the progress of ongoing Namma Metro projects with BMRCL officials. Key deadlines announced include the opening of the Pink Line stretch from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere by August 2026 and trial runs between KR Puram and Marathahalli up to HSR Layout by October 2026. The Pink Line extension to Nagawara is targeted for March 2027, while metro connectivity to Kempegowda International Airport via Hebbal is expected by June 2027. Officials have been directed to ensure timely completion.
