In his eyes..
I wanted to smile when I first opened my eyes,
but i got slapped on my little behind
I noticed the happiness in the room after i cried with a boom
It was hard to accept this place as my new home
To adjust I had to forget the comfort of maa’s womb
Maa nurtured me day and night,
but there was another fellow always close by.
I wanted my maa all to myself,
did not understand why she needed his help
Soon I understood that I would have to give him a chance
With curiosity in my little eyes,
one day I looked into his young eyes
What I saw confused me even more,
There was an unknown emotion that caught my attention
Still behind the signs of sleep deprivation,
I felt a familiar connection.
In his arms I felt safe and secure,
I knew I had found love which was divine and pure
I soon became fond of his jokes and silly tricks
Sometimes he was strict,
well! I was also a naughty little prick
But whenever I fell down he did not frown
He taught me to get up and always look up
Soon shoulder to shoulder we matched
This time in his old eyes all I saw was pride and nothing to hide.
The cycle repeated and I became a father
When I looked into my child’s little eyes,
A moment that beautiful moment did remind
It reminded when i curiously looked in my father’s eyes
And felt that he had something to hide
Now in this moment I understood what it was
For me, he wanted to be perfect but he knew he had flaws.
All that he did not have, he wanted to give me all
He was going to be my angel till the day he would fall
Nothing more in the world could make him feel so tall
From the moment he saw me I became his pride
Now it was my time and moment to shine
I felt ready to do my best till the moment I go to rest
My father was the wind under my wings,
Now it was time for me to be his wings.
