Commuters on Bengaluru’s Yellow Line are set to benefit from more frequent Metro services following the induction of the 15th train set on the RV Road–Bommasandra corridor. With all 15 train sets now available, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) plans to operate 12 trains during peak hours, reducing the interval between trains to around six minutes. One train will be kept as a standby unit, while two will be available for maintenance. The Yellow Line currently operates at around seven-minute intervals during peak hours. The improved frequency is expected to reduce waiting times and provide smoother travel for thousands of daily passengers. The 19-km corridor connects key locations including BTM Layout, Central Silk Board, Bommanahalli, Electronic City, Hebbagodi and Bommasandra, serving several major IT, industrial and residential hubs. The increase in fleet strength comes as Yellow Line ridership continues to grow. For Electronic City and Bommasandra commuters, the six-minute peak-hour service is expected to make Metro travel a more convenient alternative to road journeys
