The Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) has issued the final notification to acquire 1,427 acres 24.25 guntas for the proposed Peripheral Ring Road-2 (PRR-2). The project is expected to improve Bengaluru’s connectivity by creating a major alternative route around the city. The proposed PRR-2 connection towards Hosur Road could particularly benefit commuters and businesses in Electronic City, Jigani, Attibele and South Bengaluru.
The corridor could help distribute traffic away from existing congested routes and improve access between growing industrial, residential and employment hubs.
