An event to help students to learn more information through different means of medium and present their skills to the public is my school’s Project Day.
The classes from KG to Senior Secondary prepare for about 2 weeks on a particular topic that is general to everyone. We started preparing for it with full enthusiasm and enjoyed every bit of the process. It included knowledge, fun, bonding with friends, creativity and a LOT of positive experience.
Our topic this year was Guhaavivriti – Explanation of Caves and so our main model took up quite some of our time and energy. But it turned out just as we wanted it. While some of us were working on the cave models, others worked on the charts, the information we were going to use, activities for our project and our presentation.
In every class, the work was divided accordingly and everyone felt good about being a part of team. Our teachers also encouraged and guided with their own way of support to achieve the end result.
This year, the event was open for 2 days while on first day, chief guest Ms. Lakshmi Narain Gargya, Director – Vidhya Institute of Learning inaugurated and appreciated as well as acknowledged the hard work put forth by the students. The next day, Meraki – the art exhibition was officially thrown open by Mr. Shailesh B O, Resident Artist, Cholamandalam Village and parents were invited to view our projects and soak in the huge information.
As students, we found this experience very educative, learnt how to present information and answer different questions on the spot. We are also thankful for the school for bringing together this event effectively and giving students a chance to present their skill and creativity.
