Residents of Bettadasanapura, Mailasandra, and surrounding villages in Bangalore South have petitioned for a new feeder bus service to improve connectivity. The proposed route would link Bettadasanapura with key locations including Sri Kote Thimmaraya Swamy Temple, Sri Bhu Neela, and Sri Kashi Vishwanatha Swamy Temple, passing through major residential and commercial areas such as Begur, Yelenahalli, Hulimavu, Basapura, and Chikkatoguru. Over the past decade, these areas have transformed into dense residential hubs, attracting migrants from Karnataka and other states. However, despite the growing population, schools, colleges, and commercial establishments, there is currently no BMTC bus service for these new layouts. Residents stress that the absence of adequate mass transport forces them to rely on costly and inconvenient alternatives. They are urging the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation and Directorate of Urban Land Transport to act swiftly to meet the mobility needs of this rapidly developing part of Bangalore South.
