Bongodol celebrated their 1st ever Durga Puja this year. The festival is to propitiate the Goddess Durga for her blessings as also celebrate her victory over the demon Mahishasur. It is also believed that Lord Rama had worshiped the Goddess Durga to seek divine blessings before undertaking the battle against Ravana.
BongoDol has been formed in the year 2023, by our young & loveable, like-minded enthusiastic people. All members stand by each other during any emergencies and the reason why we do notrestrict it to spell it as community/organization and rather proudly call it as BongoDolFamily.
BongoDol is a socio-cultural, charitable, non-profitable committee, dedicated to promote Bengali culture & social activities in Bangalore. It is a forum for all Bengalis/non – Bengalis, who are living in Bangalore, providing a platform for social networking (ADDA) to interact and meet with the 500+ members online and be as one.The group is actively involved in organizing variousevents like Sport, Outing, Trips, Rides and also gives the door for everyone with all members.

This cultural organization’s dedication to the values of Bengali culture isbest reflected in its activities and calendar of events; to sponsor and organize a various cultural events and activities geared towards all age groups, that are connected to Bengali culture including music, literature, performing and visual arts, movies along with spiritual activities and popular contemporary culture. We will strive to be inclusive, tolerant, thought provoking and above all, will carryout all our activities in the spirit of public service.
