- With the recent rains in Bangalore, the lake is now full, making it possible to watch birds in their native habitat. The area has served as a dump, welcomes stray dogs, and poses a safety risk to nearby residents and commuters. If there isn't a proper diversion drain, a subsequent strong downpour could cause the Neeladri road to flood and block the commuters. It also lacks basic civic amenities. Despite the efforts of the locals to maintain the lake's sanity to protect and preserve the lake, government help is still largely needed (Gram Panchayat and the requirement for BBMP inclusion to receive the cash allotted).
