Eight-year-old Ovi Chakurkar from The Green Terraces in Neotown is a third-grader at Treamis World School and a rising swimming star. Since July 2023, she has won numerous medals, including silver in the 50m butterfly at Marlin Aquatic Centre, as well as gold, silver, and bronze at events across Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Chennai. Training under coach Mr. Abhijith M.A., Ovi balances her rigorous schedule with academics and also learns Hindustani classical singing under the guidance of Mrs. Smita Verma. With aspirations to represent India in the Olympics, she is an inspiration to young athletes in her community.
