Commuters on the Namma Metro Yellow Line in Bengaluru are set to benefit from improved train frequency aimed at reducing overcrowding. The Bommasandra–RV Road corridor, which serves thousands of professionals travelling to Electronic City, has long witnessed heavy rush-hour demand.
Peak-hour train intervals have been reduced from 10 minutes to 9 minutes, while non-peak frequency has improved from 18 minutes to 14 minutes. The enhancement follows the induction of an additional train set to strengthen operations.
The decision comes after repeated commuter complaints about congestion on platforms and inside coaches. With Electronic City being a major employment hub, the increased frequency is expected to ease pressure during office hours, improve passenger comfort, and make metro travel more reliable along this critical tech corridor.
