The Gollahalli Road connecting Neotown in Electronics City was formally inaugurated on 7 January 2026 by the Honourable MLA, Shri Shivanna Ji. The inauguration marks an important infrastructure milestone for residents of the rapidly growing Electronics City area, improving connectivity and easing local commuting challenges.
A Road Puja was held as part of the inauguration ceremony, which saw active participation from members of various Residents’ Welfare Associations (RWAs). Community members expressed appreciation for the completion of the long-awaited road and highlighted the need for sustained focus on overall road infrastructure in the region.
During the event, several key road-related issues affecting Electronics City were brought to the MLA’s attention. These included concerns related to the condition of internal roads, traffic flow, and the need for upgrades to major arterial routes. Responding to the representations, Shri Shivanna Ji assured residents that a separate meeting would be scheduled to discuss both main and internal road issues in detail.
RWAs have been urged to come together over the coming weekends and coordinate with local representatives, including Councillor Prakash and Manjunath Reddy, to collectively meet the MLA and follow up on the assurances given. Residents hope that the inauguration will pave the way for further infrastructure improvements across Electronics City, Bengaluru.
