Huskur Lake Stop Fish Mortality Improve Hygiene

Huskur Lake about 35 acres under Anekal taluk which was rejuvenated 7 years ago by Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw foundation has recently faced issues of Fish kill and Bad smell because of contamination, which posed a serious issue to the environment and nearby livinghood. The Department of Fisheries reported that fish kill is due to the contamination of the lake’s water due to the flow of leachate from the GP Tank called Gulimangala Tank belongs to Huskur GP and requested them to take action to stop the fish kill, initiate water testing and as a long term solution to relocate the plant as soon as possible.
