“A language is not just words. It’s a culture, a tradition, a unification of a community, a whole history that creates what a community is ”.
Mother Language Day is celebrated to promote linguistic and cultural diversity, as well as to recognize the importance of preserving and promoting mother languages worldwide. At BVM Global, it was a vibrant tapestry of culture, creativity, and talents. The backdrop was a collage of many famous poets and authors of different languages drawn by hand.
The event started with some small slogans in our respective mother tongue numbering more than 20. The resonating harmonies set the tone for a day that would unfold with a series of captivating melodious songs and spectacular dances. The stage was a testament to the incredible talent within our school community.
It was a collective celebration of our school community with some parents stopping by to attend the event. It also emphasized the strength of our bonds going beyond language and our ability to respect every language without looking at its origin. With memories made and importance learnt, the day will be etched in our hearts as a day of unity and collaboration.
