Description: Students of today are the visionaries and torch bearers of tomorrow. As part of nurturing students to be future leaders, BVM Global – Bengaluru held its investiture ceremony with great pomp and dignity on Saturday, 25th June 2022. The ceremony began with the arrival of our esteemed chief guests Captain Vaibhav Krishna and the director of the education department at BVM Global group of schools, Mr. R. Rajendran. The dignitaries were led by the exquisite school band to their seats beside the principal of BVM Global @ Bengaluru, Ms. Sukanya Sai Satheesh.
The bugle call announced the commencement of proceedings. The ceremony bestowed badges and sashes to the newly elected members of the student council and the various clubs. First, the head boy and head girl were officially inducted into their positions. Soon it was the turn of the newly elected sports secretary and assistant sports secretary. Next followed the captains and vice-captains of the 4 houses Ganga, Cauvery, Yamuna, Godavari.
Following a short introduction to the roles that the various clubs play, the club representatives were then provided with their respective badges. Now, the event that was most anticipated was about to commence, the oath taking. The head boy marched alongside the sports secretary who was holding the school flag to the front of the school. The 4 captains of the 4 houses, marched with great enthusiasm with the flags of the respective houses fluttering high in the sky to take their positions around the head boy. He then commenced the swearing in speech with the 4 captains and the sports secretary repeating his words with pride. The captains then marched back and took their positions in front of their houses. A special award for scoring first in Ramayana exam conducted every year for class 8 was given to Kowshik Srivatsa.
Next captain Vaibhav Krishna, Mr. Rajendran and Ms. Sukanya Sai Satheesh were invited to address the gathering individually. Captain Krishna, being a former student of BVM Global, stressed about the great responsibility that the newly elected members of the student council have on their shoulders and emphasized the importance of participation in extracurricular activities and grabbing opportunities that the school presents students with.
Mr. Rajendran, who had been a teacher to both Captain Krishna and Ms. Sukanya Sai Satheesh, spoke about the challenges that students face in this modern and complex world. He also gave insights into how BVM Global nurtures future leaders by offering opportunities of various kinds. The Principal, Ms. Sukanya Sai Satheesh was very touched by the presence of both the Captain and Mr. Rajendran. She took great pride in speaking about the confidence the candidates had shown by clearly stating to her why their application should be considered. Confidence is very important in the modern world and BVM Global provides and builds confidence in students.
To end the day, a vote of thanks was presented to the esteemed chief guests, principal ma’am and all the teachers and school authorities that made this important event a grand success.
