Religion, language, borders
used as weapons for hate,
Aren’t we all human,
nothing justifying this fate.
Seeing the bloodshed leaves
a stain on my heart,
A need to unite,
Not bicker and fall apart.
North, west, east, south
All teach peace,
No matter which verse
comes out of our mouth.
Arguing over stuff to change
each others mind,
but if we take a moment and
talk there is so much we can find.
Though our different cultures
so much we can learn and share,
deep down we’re just humans
who love and care.
Religion, culture, ethnicity or race,
All are overlooked when
a calamity unravels into place.
Get so caught up fighting over
the moon or the sun,
but forget either wouldn’t
shine without the other one.
All our blood bleeds red,
Crop from the same earth we’re fed,
Same sun in the Day
Same moon in the night,
So why is harmony despite our
differences such a far fetched sight?
We may be separated by our differences,
But united we must stand
in more than just condolences.
