SNN Raj Greenbay is located in Phase 2 of Electronic City, Bangalore, with 4 acres dedicated to open green spaces.
The landscape is divided into eleven zones.
Woodland Lane, Orange Avenue, Sensory Garden, Recreational Garden, Aviary Park, Bamboo Forest, Pride of India, Butterfly Garden, Gorilla Zone, Balinese Garden, Flower Palette.
With over 150 varieties of native flowers, plants, trees, shrubs, vines, grasses, and herbs, our garden is a diverse and vibrant ecosystem. Some of the most popular flowers include roses, marigolds, Ixora, Tabebuia Rosera, Brassia, and Rhaphis. This garden contains Herbal plants like Tulsi, Rosemary, Aloe Vera, Basil Thyme, Peppermint, and Gooseberry trees as well.
Specific plants such as jackfruit, banana, and guava had been planted. Pipal and Banni trees have since found a place in Greenbay.
The residents of our community enjoy these areas, and when the parents of many residents visit for extended stays, they get to know each other during morning walks. These social connections have been fostered by the green spaces, which also provide opportunities for physical activity for both young and old.
Even toddlers have a chance to stroll in a pleasant environment. The playing areas cater to all age groups, and the landscape is especially beautiful in the evenings, with residents of all ages playing, walking and sitting together. Urban green spaces have significantly contributed to the physical and mental health of the residents.
The garden allowed us to notice the changing seasons, from the shifting colors of the trees to the morning dew and birdsong. Green spaces are essential as they enhance the physical and mental well-being of individuals, offer opportunities for outdoor activities and relaxation, and improve air quality by absorbing pollutants and producing oxygen. Overall, they contribute to the aesthetic and environmental quality of urban areas, fostering a sense of community and enhancing the quality of life.
