A new 3-month health and wellness programme will initially cover around 600 police personnel in the Electronics City police division. The initiative focuses on regular health check-ups, nutrition, preventive healthcare, physical activity, better sleep and stress management, with guidance from experts. Pilot results have been encouraging: 61% recorded reduced blood sugar levels, 70% corrected Vitamin B12 deficiencies, and 59% reduced body weight. Home Minister Priyank Kharge said healthier police personnel are essential for building an effective and resilient policing system. The initiative marks an important step towards improving the health and well-being of Electronic City’s police force.
