A crucial stretch between Sattva Tech Park near Bommasandra Metro and Jigani APC Circle has come under scrutiny for being poorly lit, raising serious safety and security concerns. Despite being a key connector in one of Bengaluru’s fastest-growing industrial and residential zones, the road reportedly remains in complete darkness at night.
The stretch serves as a vital link for major companies such as Biocon, HCL, Cipla, and Micro Labs. It also connects prominent residential developments including DLF, Svamitva, and upcoming Prestige Group projects, making it a high-traffic zone for both employees and residents.
In addition, the presence of fuel stations like Shell and HP further increases vehicular movement along this corridor.
The lack of street lighting has led to rising concerns over road safety, personal security, and gaps in urban planning. Residents and commuters have pointed out that such neglect in a critical growth corridor reflects poor coordination between local authorities.
Despite its importance, stakeholders including the Bommasandra Industrial Association, Hennagara Panchayat, and the Government of Karnataka are yet to take visible action. Citizens are now urging immediate installation of streetlights and greater accountability to prevent potential mishaps.
