The proposed high-speed rail network connecting Bengaluru with Hyderabad and Chennai includes several strategically planned stations aimed at improving regional connectivity and reducing long-distance travel time across South India.
On the Bengaluru–Hyderabad corridor, the proposed stations include Baiyappanahalli, Devanahalli, Alipur, Hindupur, Duddebanda, Anantapur, Gooty, Dhone, Kurnool, Mannanur, Bharat City, Shamshabad Airport, and Hyderabad. These stations are expected to connect major urban centers, industrial hubs, and airport regions, creating faster movement between Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
The Bengaluru–Chennai corridor includes Kengeri, Electronic City, Kolar, Parandur, Poonamallee, and Chennai. Electronic City’s inclusion is particularly important because it is one of India’s largest IT and startup hubs with lakhs of daily commuters. A future high-speed rail station here could significantly improve connectivity for professionals and businesses in South Bengaluru.
The proposed Mysuru–Bengaluru alignment includes Mysuru, Mandya, Ramanagar, and Kengeri, helping improve intercity travel within Karnataka.
If integrated properly with Metro, suburban rail, and airport transit systems, these stations could transform Bengaluru’s mobility ecosystem. Electronic City, in particular, could emerge as a major transport and economic corridor with better last-mile connectivity, reduced travel stress, and stronger infrastructure growth in the coming decade.
