The Institute of Health Management Research, Bangalore (IIHMR-B), located in Electronic City Phase I, has reached a major milestone by being awarded the title of “India’s Top Healthcare Management Institute 2025” at the Academic Insights – Education Excellence Awards & Summit 2025. This distinguished recognition further strengthens IIHMR Bangalore’s standing as one of India’s premier institutions for healthcare management education.
The award was received on behalf of the institute by Dr. Sarala Raju, Professor & Dean – Research & Publications and Dean – Academics & Student Affairs, along with Prof. Shamsuzzaman Ansari, Associate Professor.
For over two decades, IIHMR Bangalore has been dedicated to grooming healthcare management professionals with strong academic foundations, practical skills, and ethical values, supported by a robust focus on research and training. The institute offers postgraduate (PGDM) and doctoral (FPM) programmes across key specialisations, including Hospital Management, Public Health, Health Information Technology, Pharmaceutical Management, and the emerging area of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in Healthcare.
Highlighting the institute’s diverse learning environment, Prof. Ansari, who also heads Admissions at IIHMR Bangalore, noted that the campus hosts students from 17–18 states across India, making it a true “mini India.” The student community comprises graduates from MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, as well as B. Tech and other non-healthcare backgrounds.
Commenting on the achievement, Dr. Sarala Raju stated, “This honour inspires us to continuously raise standards in healthcare management education. We remain committed to nurturing future-ready leaders who can create meaningful and sustainable impact across healthcare systems.”
