A voluntary blood donation camp was organized on 25 September 2026 at Neeladri Nagar, Electronic City 1st Phase to encourage people to come forward and support those in need of blood. The camp was organized by Anugraha Educational & Social Trust, Shikaripalya and Yekadanta Vinayaka Balaga in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Bengaluru Branch. The initiative was organized under the direction of Dr. Nagaraj Gandigudi who was instrumental in bringing the organizers and community members together for the cause.
The program was enthusiastically attended by residents and volunteers who showed their readiness to contribute to a social cause that saves lives. The event also helped raise awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and the need to maintain adequate blood supplies for patients requiring emergency treatment, surgeries and other medical care. The camp was made possible thanks to the donors, volunteers, medical personnel and community members for their participation, the organizers said. The project showed how a collective community effort can make a difference to society.
The organisers hope that such initiatives will continue to inspire more people to become regular voluntary blood donors and contribute towards saving lives.
